EPHESUS & PAMUKKALE & P.M.D TOURS

DAY 1 Early morning flight or overnight bus to Izmir. Drive to EPHESUS and visit the HOUSE OF VIRGIN MARY, where she spent her last days. Then, visit EPHESUS, the most complete ancient city ever excavated. You will feel yourself as if you were in ancient Ephesus white you are walking through the FOUNTAINS of POLIO HADRIAN-TRAJAN and temples of DOMITION and HADRIAN VARIUS or SCHOLASTICA BATHS, BROTHL, CELCIUS LIBRARY, BOULETORION and the GREAT THEATER. After a delicious lunch in Selcuk, we will visit the TEMPLE of ARTEMIS, once one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world, St.JOHN BASILICA and ARCHEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF Ephesus and overnight.

DAY 2 Departure in the morning from hotel. Drive to PAMUKKALE which is unique in the world with its cascading water from the ciffs forming crystallized, dazzling white "Frozen Waterfalls" The thermal waters have been used for therapeutic treatments since the Roman period. You will have time to enjoy the therapeutic hot spring waters. Then, visit the Roman city HIERAPOLIS which contains wonderful necropolis and the theatre. Return to hotel and overnight.
DAY 3 Begin the day among the Hellenic art and architecture of the ruins in Priene, an ancient Ionian city dramatically overlooking the fertile plains of the Meandre Valley. Afterwards, continue to the second archaeological site of the day; the ancient city of Miletus, formerly a prosperous commercial harbor city and the most prominent in Anatolia in its heyday. Most noteworthy among the scattered ruins are the Great Theater and Roman Baths. Eventually, the tour reaches Didim town, where there is time for an open buffet lunch. Following that, the tour proceeds to the ancient city of Didyma, the setting for one of the most colossal temples in the Hellenic World, venerating the God Apollo. Return to hotel or airport/bus station.
